The English Library, is an online source for the
written word in English. Our aim is to provide our visitors with a selection of
high quality writing in electronic form. Most of our content is made up of older
works of English literature now in the public domain and now free of copyright.
Our present collection of more than 100 eBooks was produced using scanners and
OCR software, and then proof-read by a small team of volunteers, who share a love of
English. All stories may be freely downloaded and read, and redistributed for
non-commercial use.
